Join Bear Trax Adventures for a guided trek as you snowshoe through a winter wonderland. Bear Trax Adventures offers tours for all levels ranging from 1 hour – 4 hours in length. All tours meet at the Clubhouse Grill located next to the Tubing Park and across East Mountain Road from the Killington Grand Hotel. Morning, afternoon, evening and private tours are available. One Hour: Beginner & Families $35 Adults / $20 Kids Ages 8-14 Designed for guests that are new to snowshoeing and families.  This tour is offered twice daily on weekends and holiday weeks. The tour is also offered on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the winter.  Classic Killington Tour 90 minutes: Advance Beginner – Intermediate $45 per person, $30 Kids Ages 10-14 This tour meanders around the Killington golf course and includes some gradual ascents and descents with vistas of Killington peak.   This tour is perfect as a before or after alternative to skiing or as a stand-alone adventure.  This tour is offered twice daily on weekends and holiday weeks. The tour is also offered on Thursdays and Fridays throughout the winter.  Snowshed Tour with This tour is offered on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season and on Fridays beginning January 22, 2016. Lunch Stop 2 hours+:  Intermediate  $55 per person Age 14 + This intermediate tour explores the winding trails adjacent to the mountain.  It includes an invigorating ascent to the top of the Snowshed peak with a stop at Ledgewood Yurt for a relaxing lunch.  Following lunch we enjoy a gradual decent back to the Clubhouse.  Lunch is not included in the price of tour.  Please allow 45 minutes for lunch. Ramshead Rambler Tour 2 hours: Advanced Intermediate $55 per person Age 14+ Up down and all around this tour explores the trails adjacent to Ramshead and more.  You will feel as if you are far from the mountain as we trek through quiet wooded areas adjacent to the mountain.   This tour is offered Saturday and Sunday afternoons as well as on Holidays. Specialty Tours Snowshoe Blitz:  One hour @ 7:30 AM $35 per person This tour will be offered periodically throughout the season.  Please check www.killington.com/snowshoe for specific dates. Moonlight in Vermont Tour 90 minutes: Advanced Beginner – Intermediate $45 per person Ages:  14+ Advance reservations required Our Classic Killington Tour under the light of the moon and stars followed by hot chocolate or warm apple cider.   Please check www.killington.com/snowshoe for specific dates and times. Specialty Tours 90 min to 2 hours: Advance beginner - Intermediate $45 per person including a drink at the Clubhouse   Age: 21+  Join us for a brisk trek on the Killington golf course before relaxing in the clubhouse for a well-deserved pint of a local brew. Scavenger Hunt 90 Minute Family Fun tour open to children (ages 8+) and adults $45 adults; $30 children This fun filled tour designed for children will be offered at select times during the February vacation week. Please check www.killington.com/snowshoe for specific dates and times.  Private Tours:  Private tours must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Killington Connect 4+ hours: Advanced 24 hours advance notice $95 pp Age 15+ This advanced tour includes over 2,500 feet of climbing and takes you from Ramshead to the summit of Pico Mountain via the 49er trail (Pico Connect) followed by a descent back down to the base of Ramshead.  This tour can be a real heart pounder with a long climb and trail breaking and requires one to be physically fit. A light lunch is included with this tour. Killington Peak Tour 4+ hours: Advanced 24 hours advance notice required $95 pp; $65 for each additional person Age 15 + This advanced tour includes over 2,500 feet of climbing and takes you from the Killington Base lodge to the Peak Lodge.  Once you reach the Peak Lodge, you can stay and relax at the peak and then take the gondola back to the base.  The price includes a ticket to download on the gondola. This tour can be a real heart pounder with a long climb and trail breaking and requires one to be physically fit. 90 minute – 2-hour Private Tours Beginner, Advanced Beginner & Intermediate 24 hours advance notice required $70 pp; $50 for each additional permit These tours will be tailored to the skills and desire of the client and can range from a gentle hike around the golf course to a more challenging hike up and around Ramshead. All tours are subject to change and are always weather dependent. Guests planning on a Bear Trax Adventure Snowshoe Tour should dress in layers and wear winter boots.  Ski pants are advisable.  Snowshoe and poles will be provided and are included in the tour price. Headlamps are advised on tours that start at 4 PM or later. Guides will be equipped with backpacks, water, snacks and first aid kits.
